Supporting our community

We’re proud to be an active part of Thame’s vibrant community, helping at events that bring people together and raise vital funds. You’ll often find us at:

  • Thame Carnival – Fundraising stalls and a BBQ with locally sourced food
  • Taste of Thame – Logistics support, including putting up banner flags
  • Thame 10K – Volunteering as course marshals and assisting organisers
  • Music in the Park – Managing gate entry, wristbands, and ticket sales
  • Thame Fair – Marshalling the car park

Charity collections & awareness campaigns

We raise awareness and funds for causes close to home and across the globe, including:

  • ShelterBox disaster relief campaigns
  • Seasonal street collections for charities like the Red Kite Family Centre
  • Seasonal Projects – Bringing Joy to the Community
  • Mulled Wine Stall at Thame Christmas Lights – A festive favourite
  • Senior Citizens’ Christmas Party – An annual celebration with entertainment and refreshments
  • Swimathon and Thame Carnival barbeque

Youth engagement

  • Interact Club at Wheatley Park School – Youth-led fundraising and leadership
  • Mock Interview Sessions at Chilworth House – Preparing students for the future

Environmental projects

  • Tree Planting Initiatives
  • Hedgehog House Building – Fun, hands-on biodiversity support

Responding to global challenges

Through Rotary International, we also support projects that address disaster relief, clean water, education, and disease prevention.
